Joseph Ghossoub is today Chairman and CEO of MENA Communications Group (MENACOM) parent company of the Team/Y&R, Intermarkets and Classic Partnership advertising agencies, public relations consultancies ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller, Polaris and Raee, media buying firms mediaedge: cia & MC2, direct marketing specialists Wunderman and Tattoo Interactive.
In 2006, he was named Campaign Middle East’s ‘Man of the Year.’The same year, Ghossoub was elected World President of the IAA. During his mandate he advocated an IAA that is more relevant to its stakeholders, an open forum for communication and closer cooperation across the marketing disciplines.
In 2007, the Government of Dubai re-appointed him to the board of directors for the Dubai Media Incorporation. In 2008, Ghossoub was honored with the first Dubai Lynx ‘Advertising Personality of the Year’ award.
Ghossoub is consistently named one of the 100 Most Influential Arabs in the World by the regional Arabian Business magazine.
Ghossoub also serves on a number of business, academic and civil society institutions. A former president of the Lebanese Business Council in the UAE and board member of the American University in Dubai, he is also deeply involved in strengthening cultural ties between the countries of his birth and working life, through the establishment of the Emirati-Lebanese Friendship Association.
Ghossoub received the Knight of the Order of the Cedar in 2004, the Presidency Shield of the Republic of Lebanon in 2006, and the Pontifical Order of Knighthood in 2009.
He was elected Arab Ad Man of the Year for 2011.
